The Smiths

So the last leg of evacuation was spent with Kevin, Margaret, Andrew, Anna Claire and Conner. Camden and Anna Claire had a great time fighting over the chair. But, for the most part, they played well together. Poor kids, I think they were all sick of having to share their houses! Look at how beautiful Anna Claire is!!!!

LSU

Camden was wearing his helmet and trying to teach Christopher how to cheer for the tigers. It was really cute!

Gustav

Here are some pictures that we took during the storm. It was quite an interesting 6 hours. It felt like it would never end. Camden and Grant had a fun time watching the storm out of the window.

The Browns

Gina, Chris, Christopher and Matthew evacuated from Youngsville to our house for the hurricane. Little did we know it should have been the opposite. Their house only lost power for 5 hours, where ours lost power for 4 days. Needless to say, I was headed to their house with the boys as soon as I found out the good news. We stayed there with the Browns and the triplets. It was a lot of fun. However, there was way too much going on to get pictures. So, I have none from that part of our evacuation! Grant and Matthew got along really well. Grant wanted to give him some sugar at one point!

The past month

SO, as you all know, we experienced a little set back with all of the hurricane stuff. I am really sorry that it has taken me so long to update you on everything. Grant is crawling on all fours now!!! Camden is talking up a storm. Oh, and we have some pictures from his hospital visit. Norm bought Camden this tiger and he was giving it kisses and trying to get Grant to kiss him as well. Grant only came to see his brother once because we did not think it was too safe. But, he slept in his stroller the whole time anyway. I cannot tell you how horrible these last few weeks have been. But, it is over and Norm and I are headed to New Orleans this Saturday night. It is a much needed getaway and we are really excited to spend our 7 year anniversary in the Big Easy. Uncle Eric and Aunt Alexis are watching the boys. Stay tuned to Alexis' blog because I am sure she will have some great stories to tell! Enjoy all of the pictures!!!
